okay so here's the deal! i am an ignorant bandster, i got a fill on the 5th August 08, and it was TIGHT i don't know how much was in it.. or my restriction in mls in total.. eek bad i know.. [will find this information out on tuesday coming]

BUT

The first few weeks i had to be much more careful about what i ate as i was PB'ing a fair bit - like 2 or 3 times a week. [which was lots for me in comparison to previous fills]

in the last fortnight, very little of anything i eat or drink stays down, i feel as if i have over eaten/drunk every time i eat.

I can no longer eat Tomato, lettuce, cheese, Pasta

the only things i have really been able to keep down are rice crackers and some mashed vegetables and we are talking maybe a table spoon in total! i am getting very frustrated and very tired! i can't take my multi Vitamin because i bring that up too...

i'm not often hungry and i am eating more because my head is telling me i need food, ie Breakfast time, lunch etc...

On the plus side i have lost 12 kg in 8 weeks which for me is amazing.. BUT i know its not right..

If i have a blockage, how is it removed? my theory is that they just unfill my band and let it pass then re fill it! please tell me thats it...

My worse fear is that i may have a slippage.. that means another operation right? well i can't afford that.. oh shit...

i need help... and i'm kinda desperate...

anybody with any experiences like these..??

Did they tell you to go back to liquids for the rest of the day when you PB? Because that's what lots of people do here and it really helps. That's because once you start PBing, it irritates things and you will do it more often until you get less irritated.

If you go back to liquids for a day and then you are still having problems, then you are probably too tight and they need to take a bit out. But first you need to "reset".

Hi thinner or bust,

You need to go back and get some off your fill removed as it is just to tight for you. My hubby had trouble with one off his fills and all he did was get a little bit removed then it was no problem. You should not be PBing so much as that is not good for you.

Good luck jess. It sounds like you are just over filled, the same thing happened to me and all I could eat was rice crakers (what is with that:huh2:)

I had some taken out and am feeling fine. I was pbing everything, except Water and rice crackers for over a week. I was addicted to the weight loss (naughty me). I then realised that the wieght loss wasn't real anyway, it was just Fluid (unfair)

Anyway, i am now under restricted (unfair) and trying to hold off getting any more fill for a couple of weeks as i feel I need to rest my body and my band........:tongue2:

Good luck, i am sure you will be fine. Tuesday will come pretty quick

Hi I can really sympathize with your situation! I do have a slip. have the xrays to prove it. my symptoms include, cant tolerate more than a 1.25ml fill. discomfort most times I eat solids. often regurge to relieve pressure. pain in the stomach, and sometimes the shoulder. Unable to identify the full feeling until it is far to late. food comes back up the throat in the night. Solutions.....Eat by size not eyes. Imagine the size of the stomach and try to confine meals to that proportion. (very difficult) Eat evening meal early. If pain develops I drink Water to flush it through. I know this is not recommended but it works... if a blockage has developed, I drink a boiling hot cup of weak broth, ie 1/2 stock cube in water. This clears the pipes and works really well. With a severe blockage ie meat.... Coca Cola! sipped slowly then bring up the furball!....Ok I know this is not all Kosha, and if I am ringing alarm bells for some. I am trying avoid corrective surgery. I am not losing regularly though I have lost 38kg since Sept 06..I am open to advice....and will leave you with this piece which I know for sure helps living with the band....get rid of the stress in your life it messes with the band more than your head!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
