Name your Band!

Recommended Posts

My favorite local morning radio show did an 'Idol" sort of thing, where the winners formed sort of a pick-up band. The co-host of the show is named Spike, and the name of the band is "Spike and The Impailers."

Great name for a band. It, like everthing else, got me thinking. If I were to form a band, what would I call it? hmmmm.

My techno band would be called "Crystal and The Reports." (for obvious reasons....)

My rock band would be called "Crystal & The Shards"

I gotta laugh, Crystal, 'cause when I saw the headline I thought you meant "name your silicone symbiant." Mine is Nigel.

I thought the same thing Zoe. I named mine awhile back but can't remember the name. Too funny. Might do a search and see if I can find it. Be back if I find it and will report in.

OK I searched and found the name -- IGGY! Yup mine is a GUY too.

My band -- Penelope's Plight (LOL)

(Lewd alert)

An Irish friend of mine claimed to have heard a band called Dick Penis and the Four (Fore?) Skins.

Doh! I didn't even make the connection! My silicone friend doesn't have a name, but I have noticed that I feel soothed when I rub it.

Fred the Band and my little port.

My sister had a huge fibroid tumor removed from her uterus and we named it Fred the tumor. He had about a dozen little brothers and sisters in there, too. It was a stressful time but, as is common in our crazy family, humor got us through. So now, when I think of my band, I just call him Fred.

I have no idea what I'd name a band of mine...Kathy and the Refrieds? (I love refried beans) I am SO not musical. I have no clue or a creative bone to think of one! Maybe something with Kate or Katydid?

OK, I'll leave the dirty double-entendres to someone else. How about naming your (lap)band Aladdin?

Lap-band's name, not musical group...

when I went to the seminar for my surgury, the surgeon made a corny joke about being a good surgeon but not "lord of the ring" meaning he couldn't make it magical. so.....I call mine "my precious"...LOL Any of you moms or geeks who like LOTR will understand that one, (I'm both.....had to watch the movies because of my boys but would have watched them anyway, lol)

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
