Clothes Falling off of me!! HELP!!

Recommended Posts

Hi!

Well I am almost 50 pounds down since surgery on June 11th!!!

So I am literally melting!! All my pants are 2-3 sizes too big and my tops are just as bad!! I cannot keep wearing these things to work or to interviews.

Does anyone have any jeans, khaki's, tops they could donate?? Im a size 22 maybe a 20 in a couple weeks at this rate after my first fill last week the pounds are sliding right off of me.

I am in desperate need of clothing and I simply cannot afford to go out and buy any and the thrift stores in my area are not plus size friendly I have literally gone to 10!!

I don't have much money So if you are willing to donate something, anything I would really really appreciate it. I don't know what else to do!!:girl_hug:

thank you thank you thank you for anything you could possibly send!!!

You should check out the clothing exchange forum on this website. It might help you to find friendly to free prices on clothing you can wear.

Hello!

Go to FreeCycle.com and see if there is a group in your area. It's a great place to pass on things you no longer need or use, and to find things you'd like. Everything is free.

Hope this helps!

I second the freecycle.org idea. It's a great resource for both getting things you need and giving away things you don't anymore. (Not just for clothes, either.)

I have tons of very nice clothes in 20 and 22. I just packed them up for a yard sale. I will be more than happy to mail you some COD. PM me if you are interested.

Just an idea.. when it was my birthday (a week before my surgery) I told everyone the only thing I wanted was Old Navy and Target gift cards. Those are my CLOTHING only cards. I got about $300 and I figured at those stores it would get me a good amount of stuff.

When the holidays roll around tell anyone who normally gets you a gift that you only want clothing store gift cards so you can get some clothes for your weight loss.

I haven't lost much yet, but I scored a great little sweater at Goodwill WITH THE TAGS STILL ON! I have worn it several times and it makes me feel good just to know that I have something new. Also, do you have "skinny" clothes in other sizes? I happily fit into a pair of pants I haven't worn in about 4 years!

congrads on the rapid weight loss. Did I read it right...you said after your first fill? I had my first fill on the 15th of this month and still feel no restriction. If I wanted to, I could still eat like before I was banded. I go 2morrow for my 2nd fill, hopefully this one will do the trick.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
