Anyone in Denton area?

Recommended Posts

Hey ladies! I live in The Colony and I am really looking for a band buddy to go thru the surgery with. I would like to get my band this summer. I would love to meet all of you in person. We should really start a club of North Dallas Bandsters!

Ok, maybe I should get banded by Dr. Powell! I was going to get banded by Dr. Bryce at the Surgery Center of Richardson, but noone here has ever been done by him and lots of people have Dr. Powell, What do you guys think?

HI Lovecats85! I drive through Coppell, too, on my infamous commute to work. I like the idea of a North Texas Bandsters club...although my husband calls us the "lapdancers!" It cracks me up, but hope it doesn't offend anybody. I'm certainly no lapdancer, in the usual sense of the word!

I get banded this Friday by Dr. Marsden. He's really great!

Cindy

Hi!

I'm in the process of moving to Denison, TX. I hear that's fairly close to Denton (maybe an hour?) I'd love to have some sort of north texas support group! I'm moving to Texas from Washington state. it's going to be an adjustment but I'm excited for the change!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
