LB Removal percentage rate???

Does anyone have any accurate information on what percentage of lap bands have been removed? At one spot I read 25% and that seemed high but maybe it's not, thanks Nancy.

I went to the Lap Band site and from what I can tell it says that 25% of people who suffer complications have it removed. The information on that site has changed a lot since I was banded and more information is on there that wasn't there prior. So at least they are better at informing people now which is good.

I didn't know if anyone had statistics or where it could be found. I don't know if the "Lap Band" site is really that objective of a place to get the info from, Nancy.

No idea, but my doctor did tell me that with each year that passes that you have the band the percentage goes up. Which you know you'd expect anyway
