Pneumonia

I was banded June 9. I was having a lot of pain.I was sent to the hospital for tests and it has been discovered that I have pneumonia. I am on leviquin and was told to walk and try to cough. This is so disheartening.

Were you sick before you got banded? Like with a cold or anything or is this just sudden?

I'm so sorry to hear this. Make sure you get plenty of rest, drink a lot of Water, take all of your meds, and walk as much as you can. Take care. Best wishes for a speedy recovery.

Sorry to hear that I was banded june 9th also I know a couple days later coughed up a whole bunch of phelgm probably from anesthesia also one of my incision sites came apart hope this isn't a bad omen get well walk as much as you can and deep breath it will clear your lungs.

Thanks for the kind wishes. My pneumonia is better. I am on 7 days of Leviquin. I have been moving around a lot and am having productive coughs. On the good side..according to My scales..i have lost a pound a day since i got out of the hospital.

Try drinking as much Water as possible because water thins the secretions in the lungs so you can cough it up easier. Hope you are feeling better real soon!
