To fill or not to fill????? HELP

Recommended Posts

I need everyone’s opinion, I have had two fill already from Dr. Kuri, one in February and one in April, I was scheduled to get my third fill on June 18 because for the last two weeks I notice I can eat a lot more than what I had been eating following my second fill. I had a problem eating in the mornings for the first 3 weeks after my second fill.

Okay the problem is that I am due to start my period around the 13th and yesterday in the morning I was eating a Soup and I had to stop half way because it got stuck, when I coughed a little bit of saliva came out, okay during lunch I had 2 taquitos (crispy usually goes down with no problem for me) it took me about 30 minutes to eat them because I had to chew, chew and chew so it wouldn’t get stuck, then for dinner I had 1 taco with soft beef, cilantro, onions and mild salsa (I can usually eat a taco really slow) well after my second bit I ran to the bathroom had a major bp attack, I was throwing up for the next 2 hours and I felt terrible.

My question is can I be tighter because I am going to start my period or what’s going on. Should I not get a fill??? Should I get a fill??? I need everyone’s advice.

Esmeralda, it never failed for me, whenever I thought I was in need of a fill, I would schedule it 2-3 weeks in advance and like WHAM the minute I hung up the phone from making the appointment I suddenly had instant restriction, every time, I have cancelled fill appointments 3 times because of this but Yes it could be true that you have more restriction on your period, It has happpend to me several times.

Here is a good site to read over that may help you decide

Hope this helps :(

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
