Ok long story short. I have been banded since june 24th. I have not had fill yet but thats coming monday. My question is in the mornigs i am really lose and can eat just about everything and it seems to go right through me. By late afternoon i am extremly tight and feel like the only thing i can tolerate is liquids and soft food. Im not able to eat much in the evenings for dinner. If i am able to get a cup of food down at dinner i am very lucky. i dont eat past 8 at night excpet a cup of yogurt at around 10 to help keep my blood sugar leveled and not dropping out on me in the middle of the night. Im not sure what to think about this. Its been going on for the last 2 weeks. Im going to ask my dr on monday but i thiught maybe somone on here could help me with some advice. Thanks

I can relate! Except I am tight in the morning and thru the afternoon it gets better. At dinner I can eat anything if I eat slow enough and chew!

I was like this for simply ages, I thought I was the only person in the banded world loose in the morning and tight at night. It suited me quite well as I believe in a good Breakfast, but then again, at night is when I eat most of my vegies and Protein so it sort of wasnt ideal.

But over time, it has passed, I'm much more typically tightish in the morning and more able to eat a decent dinner these days. I just wish I was blocked shut for an hour or two at about 3 to 5pm!

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.
