I KNOW this is normal but I'm hungry!!!!!!!!!!

Recommended Posts

I had my first fill (6 weeks post op) yesterday. Today I'm on "mushies" and I'm ready to eat everything and anything. I feel like I did BEFORE my surgery. I have felt this way for the past 2 weeks. Tell me this will get better! I know I have heard it will get better, but I just need to hear it again! I had 3 bliss filled weeks of not being hungry. Can't wait for them to come back. Also I have the "option" of calling for a fill every 3 weeks.

I am on regular food starting Friday, should I call if I'm still feeling hungry? I'm currently scheduled for the end of September for my 2nd fill but I would rather not wait that long.

Wow, I felt like I was reading a post I wrote. I too had a small fill last week (my first) and I notice no difference either. I also am waiting to feel like I did the first few weeks after surgery......I hate being hungry.... I am due for TOM in a few days and was hoping for more restriction..but then again I only have 2.2 cc's in a APL

I am having to keep a tight cap on calorie intake keeping it around 1000-1100 calories a day

I hope this changes soon, I am going to see if I can go back sooner than 6 weeks.....he is 2 hours away from me though so it's not like I can go back often......

Good Luck!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
