I seem to have lost all desire to eat. Some days no fooe at all. also throw up alot. My doctor retired a few months after I had my lapband so I feel like I'm on my own. Worried that no food sounds good --just don't want to eat. any suggestions or anyone know why this is happening? thanks

I have gone through that also. When I got my first filll, I didn't want to eat either. I realized I was scared to eat, because of getting stuck and sliming, I think my mind told my body to forget about food for a while.

This isn't my first fill. I have lost all desire to eat. No interest in food at all. some days I eat nothing. Just wondering is my fill to full or will this feeling stop if I get some of my fill taken out?? My doctor retired just months after he did my surgery so its been hard to find a doctor to take me. thanks for replying

blr,

bottom line you NEED to eat, even if you have to make yourself. Your body cannot and will not survive without nourishment. Try some Protein Drinks then go on from there. How about seeing your regular dr. until you can find another bariatric specialist

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.
