I HATE chocolate and Peanut Butter. I have a hard time with Protein powders/drinks. I have tried to mix the powder in some yogurt and it's just not working. My question is... has any one found a "good" Protein Bar, that I can use as a Meal Replacement. I really like grabbing one for Breakfast, and carrying them around in my purse for just in case moments. Here is my issue. Like I have already said I HATE chocolate even the fake kind. I have not found a protein bar that doesn't have that awful tasting excuse for chocolate. I like crispy fruit and granola type bars. I can't seem to find any that have a high enough protein content and a low enough sugar content. PLEASE HELP ME!!!

Oh, and that Gummy chewy center thing is gross too. You can't have a gummy chewy center and roll it in rice crispy's and think that that tastes good, and is a crunchy bar. Gross.

I got these bars called Pure Protein High Protein Bars. Each one has 19-20 grams of protein in them. Each have on average of 190- 280 calories in them. They come in chocolate Peanut Butter, Chocolate Deluxe, strawberry Shortcake, Chewy Chocolate chip, Smores, & Blueberry crumb cake. You can find food labels for each flavor on Amazon.com if you want to check them out. They are sold as some grocery stores, the Vitamin Shoppe & GNC just to name a few places.

I love PayDay Pro bars, they taste like the real thing. Tons of Protein, priced right .99 to 1.59. Very filling, I'll advise only eating 25% the first time, then work yourself up to 50%. The first time I had one, it was like eating candy, I over ate & you know the rest.

I really like the Atkins Nougat Protein bars. Also, costco has their own brand that are called Premire that are pretty good. they are big and half of one fills me up.

l tend to make a whole plate full and keep them in the fridge (chicken Breast)..great for almost anything...from roll ups, to salad to adding to soup...great source of protein...and theres so many flavors now that you can rub on them..almost like something new each time you cook...

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
