Got my Orientation appt.!!

Recommended Posts

I got my appointment in the mail today for the Orientation:thumbup:. The bummer is that it is 2 hours away!! I have to remember to take this one, small step at a time. I have decided to tell more people than I had originally decided. I figured that the people I will tell are my family and very best friends. These people love me, care about me and should not judge me nor make me feel bad or guilty for wanting to be healthy and make a positive change in my life.

Anyhoo...Im going to ask my a friend to join me at the Orientation so that someone else is also hearing the same info.

What can I expect at the orientation?

Hi, I had my orentitation on june 19th.. it went over the 4 surgerys that they do and one of the dr.s lead it up and he was very helpful and answered as many questions as anyone had. and i filled out all my paper work and they said that they would call in a few days for my firls appt... but i did not get the call... after 2 weeks of waiting i finially called them and they were missing some paper work that i did not get... they mailed it to me.. but that was the delay and i was not happy... so make sure if they say they will call you, do not wait more then a few days... then call them and make sure you have all your paper work in. that is what delayed me and i also had to call back for my first internest appt. i was not happy.. i finially got the appt for august 12th, but was hopeing i would get in sooner.. i have been calling each week to see if there is a cancelation, but summer is their busy time and they donot get many cancellations. I am not saying this will happen to you, but do not wait as long as i did to find out i was still missing paper work... (i was never told that. i had to find out myself). it should not take more then a few days for them to get back with you for your internest appt... good luck and enjoy your orentation.. it is very informative....

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
