There are quite a few teachers on here. :-) When does your summer vacation start. Mine starts today at 3:15!! I can't wait. What do you teach and when does your vacation start?

I teach special needs preschoolers. I love it. I started teaching them half way through my banding process, and some of my higher functioning ones noticed my weight loss, even at 4 years old. My kids I taught last year (kindergartners) say WOW, you look so pretty now! It's amazing what all children notice.

Oh how cute! I work with special needs kids too...High school level. None of them have commented on my weight loss. I think they think its just because of the surgery I just had...didn't tell em what for...just told em not to worry I will be back. No one has really asked anything. Just a lot of welcome backs! Our summer vacation doesn't start until JUNE 20-SOMETHING...Iey iey iey..Im not thinking about it, it will just be here soon! Regents testing starts in a few weeks!! I am not a teacher per say...but I am a one on one aide to a student with a disablity. Its an awesome job. I help him all the way...and he graduates this year !! I can't wait. Im proud of him! Proud of all our kids!

Okay....have a great day...enjoy your summer!!!!!!!!

Yesterday was my daughter's Kindergarten graduation, and today is her last (1/2 day) of school. As a teary-eyed sentimental mom, I'd like to say a big THANK YOU to all you teachers. You are awesome, and your skills for loving, caring, and nurturing the little minds of your students are so appreciated, even on the bad days when you patience is thin. You have an awesome job and responsibility, and I am so grateful for you!!!! Thanks!

I teach First Grade...and May 27 was my last day! I will be banded June 9, and will be moving to a different school. I will be teaching Third Grade there.

I teach at a year around school. No summer vacation for me! I work at a preschool where we mainstream special needs children in with children of the same age. In a school of 150 children there are about 50 with different kinds of special needs. I love my job and my weight loss will help me keep up with MY little ones! :)

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
