I had a fill before a business trip and I will NEVER do it again. I had trouble with the fill and was miserable and in pain the whole time I was gone. It was absolutely horrid. I tried to find someone to help me while I was gone but it was impossible to do so. If I were you I would seriously consider NOT doing it. You never know how you will tolerate the fill and it is NOT good to be on a trip while it something happens! Good luck to you!

Everyone is different with their fills. I had my second fill Tuesday, and I'm leaving for vacation tomorrow morning. In my experience, if you have any issues, they are going to happen in the first few days of the fill, not a week later. I think you will likely be fine by then, but you need to do what will make you comfortable. If I were you, I would base it on how badly you feel like you need a fill. I had been battling the same 3 pounds for 3 weeks, and I knew I needed a fill. Plus, I'm determined to lose weight while on vacation. If you are still losing weight steadily, then you may not even need a fill yet. Also, if you are concerned, you could ask the doctor to not be too aggressive for the first one.

Depending on how long your vacation is I would probably wait. I just had my first fill and I wouldn't be comfortable going on vacation. I haven't PB or anything but just not sure of my stomach yet. I think I might stress myself out always thinking about my stomach and food and not enjoy the darn vacation.

I had my first fill (2.2cc) in June the day before we left for vacation and I've been fine. My doctor did the barium swallow/xray to make sure I wasn't too tight so I was confident I would be okay.

I know after my first fill food went down differently. I would probably wait because you may not have experience with the foods available on your vacation after your fill. It really is up to you though. I am going on vacation and waiting till after for my second fill. Have a great vacation whatever you decide! I am positive you will be fine either way.

I think for your first fill you will be ok to get it. However, just beware in the future. Once I got a fill a few days before I went to Europe and I was miserable the whole week and couldn't just go in for an unfill.

I've had four fills and could easily have traveled after all four of them. But every fill is different and I think it's better to be safe than sorry. Unless you travel constantly and just can't avoid it, I think I would try to schedule my fill for a time when I would be close to home for the next week or so.

With this being your first fill personally I would wait. Granted if you are going to have any problems with the fill itself it would show in the first few days and not a week BUT eating will be different for you and you need time to "learn" your body.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
