What does everyone do for a living?

Recommended Posts

I am the Supervisor of the Animal Control Division for the city that I live in. I have worked here for 18 plus years and love it.... Well, honestly, I LOVE working with animals, but I could do without the people sometimes. We are treated really badly alot.

We handle every kind of critter that you can imagine. Never a dull moment.

I will be eligable for retirement here when I am 38 years old, so I am considering nursing or radiology for my next phase of life..... we will see.

I am also a single momma to 4 kids....18, 13, 8 and 3. I have 3 boys and a tomboy. I am the luckiest person I know.

I write book summaries for a library distribution company. I've been doing it for 8 years, and have been lucky enough to work at home for the last 6. Which gives me plenty of time for my second job, Mommy! I have a 6 year old dd and a 3 year old son. My son has lots of health and developmental issues, so we're constantly running to doctors appointments, therapy sessions, etc. I'm so glad I work at home, otherwise I would have had to quit my job because of his issues and needs. I'm hoping to keep working at home till he's in kindergarten in a couple years, then I'll head back into the office if they want me to.

My dh does tech support for the same company I work for. Makes my job easy because he just brings home my books everyday for me! :)

Iam a hairdresser specializing in Hair loss issues for men and women. I have worked for 37 years and am going to retire from this profession on June 29th. Gonna travel for a while and then decide what is next. My husband is disabled. Work injury and he can no longer work because of cronic pain. He has a spinal injury. He worked at our utility company for 30 years too. I am interested in many things but have not as yet focused in on what my next career will be. Flunky maybe??? The ladies I work with are having an open house for me and my clients to Celebrate my 37 years. Some of the clients have been with me most of those years.

Will miss them very much. Someone here said just a hairdresser and I want to say I am very proud to have been a hairdresser all these years. I look at it as this, I make people feel better about themselves on a daily bases. What perfession could be better than that!!! Love your hair dressers, They have been under apprietiated for years. I think it is really cool that my clients have become my friends and they PAY me to come and visit. Life is good!!

Darlene

We're ready to jump ship and would like your imput on Dr Wagner. Sarah seems totally on the ball.

Thanks so much,

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
