I love reading all of your goals! Here are a few of mine...

1. To have lost 100 lbs

2. To be able to run (not walk) a 5k

3. Feel more confident and sexy

4. Being living my life as a mother/wife (not just watching from the sidelines)

5. Be able to ride that damn Froggie Jump thing with my daughter!

I guess this list could go on forever, and maybe it should, but I will stop here for now.

Hi everyone. Haven't been on in awhile but,

I want to:

1. Be more social and go out with friends.

2. Actually buy some really pretty clothes that isn't purchased from

Catherines or Jessica London.

3. I actually accomplished this back in May, but I would like to continue to fly on an airplane without asking for an extender.

4. Try skiing again.

Good luck everyone with all the things you would like to do!!!

3. To feel comfortable enough to go in public with my husband and not be thinking what i know others are thinking (i.e. "omg, she is so huge", etc)

4. To be active and live an active lifestyle, encourage my daughter to do the same

I read this thread so often, but am so araid to post. I know it's silly, but I'm afraid of letting myself down. It's funny, because I've been sitting here figuring well, it's been 4 months since surgery I've lost about 35 post surgery, the rest was before, so how much can I really expect myself to be able to accomplish in the next 8 months.... Just when I come to one conclusion, I wimp out and change my mind.

Am I the only one here who can't do this? Is it just a way of giving myself an out? So weird as it is, my goal for August is to be able to come back here and post my March 2009 goals.

Christine, I think 35 pounds in 4 months is great! That's a huge accomplishment and you should be very proud of it! You are averaging more than 2 pounds a week. My surgeon said his goal for his patients is 1 pound a week. You are doing twice that. Even if you just lost 1 pound a week for the next 8 months, you could probably lose another 35 pounds! That's 70 pounds in a year! Would you have been able to do that prior to the band? It would have been very difficult.

Aunt Lucy, I like your way of looking at it. SO let's just put it out there....

March 2009....

Have lost at least 80 pounds!

Now I guess I'd better get my but in gear and start working a bit harder at this.

Everyone has great goals!

Some of mine:

1) lose 100lbs

2) buy non-plus size clothes

3.) travel more

4.) have a new job (ok really not band related but would boost the way I feel)

5.) have tons of energy for more things

6) try the zipper line at our training academy (I was too scared to do it when I was in the academy because of my weight)

Just wondering how attainable these goal seem now that we are halfway there?

My goal of 80 lbs seems more attainable now than it was when I posted it. I think this band is working!

  1. To have an exercise plan, that I want to do, in place. One that is not dependent on me paying someone to kick my ass.
  2. Not be shopping plus sizes. At all. Ever again.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
