I have been banded since March 6, 2008 and still have problems eating bread. I just can't do it. I seem to scare everyone around me when I become choke on the bread. So I have just decided not to eat it. Traveling this summer has been difficult because all the fast food places serve sandwiches. Most of the time I have to order a sandwich and eat whatever it has between, which can get a little messy if you're ordering through a drive-thru. I feel your pain and hope that it gets better.

Hi, I am from Oxford, MS 45 minutes away from Tupelo and was banded by Dr. Walker Byars at the Surgical Clinic of North Mississippi. He does fills also, if you can't find someone in Tupelo.

Anyone having pain around the navel? I was banded on March 6 and recently I began to hurt around the navel and I can also feel it in my back. I really don't have much gas, but I feel almost like I have a virus. I don't think it is a virus, because it comes and goes so much. Sometimes after I have felt this way for awhile it upsets my stomach and nausea kicks in. Help!

Hi everyone. Haven't been on in awhile but, I want to: 1. Be more social and go out with friends. 2. Actually buy some really pretty clothes that isn't purchased from Catherines or Jessica London. 3. I actually accomplished this back in May, but I would like to continue to fly on an airplane without asking for an extender. 4. Try skiing again. I was banded in March and my shoe size has dropped one size down.

I would also like to add Maalox to the list of suggestions. Make sure that it has simethicone listed in the ingredients.
