technologically challenged

Recommended Posts

Okay.... I admit, I tend to be a bit challenged in the compter whiz area.... I've lost enough weight now that I want to post my picture before surgery and where I'm at now. How the heck do I go about doing that? :confused2:

I feel like such a dummy.:smile2: Help anyone, or from one of you youngsters?

Sheesh:

When you are looking at a forum index of messages (like when you have "general Lap-Band support" forum open and are looking at the messages available, there is a button on the top left of the forum index. That button is "New Thread". Click it with your mouse

Aubrie:

When you are typing your message there is a button on the toolbar of the text box that looks kinda yellow and has a "mountain looking" thing on it (5 to the left on the bottom). Click it and it asks for the web location of the picture. You'll need to host your image and direct it to the picture. I generally use ImageShack® - Image Hosting. Read that website's FAQ and it should let you know how to load your image. Once loaded, use its link it provides in the box asking for the web location on this forum previously mentioned.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
