Where To Get Fill In Missouri?

Recommended Posts

Greetings All:

I am new to the group. I was banded 3yrs ago in Toronto Canada where I was living at the time. I live in Lewiston, NY which is very close to the border & I just go over whenever a fill is needed. I will be moving from NY to MO very soon & I was wondering where could I get a fill. I checked with a Dr.Christopher Edwrds in Sprinfield, MO, however, he's only does his patients. I was also wondering what is the cost of having a fill? All fills are FREE in Canada after the surgery, however, I have been reading that they are charging for them in the states.

All answers will be appreciated!!!

Thanks Again

HAVE A GREAT DAY!!!! :--)

I had my surgery done at the Bariatric Center of Kansas City. Their fills runs about $300.00 for their patients. It is really a good organization - very supportive - if you are not too far from KC, I think I would give them a call. You can also google them - phone 913-677-2508. I am using Dr Hoehn.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
