Swollen lymph nodes/coated tongue

Recommended Posts

I'm extremely concerned! I was banded on June 4. Now I've noticed that the lymph nodes at the base of my jaw are swollen & tender to touch & I have a white-coated tongue. Has anyone experienced these symptoms following banding?

I was banded on Monday, June 2nd. I also had the white-coated tongue, due to Constipation. Once I started drinking diluted fruit juices and a chewable Benefiber, it went away.

I didn't have any issues with my lymph nodes.

I had both of those symptoms (plus a mouth ulcer/canker sore on the same side as the painful lymph node). I was told to add a crushed up daily 100mg tablet of Vitamin B1 (thiamin) to my daily regimen(available at independent health food stores)- the B Complex Vitamins were the size of horse pills and would not dissolve in liquid - and to start using a toothpaste called Biotene Dry Mouth - available at Walgreens. I feel like the B1 was helpful, but that the toothpaste was a disappointment - though other people swear by it.

my tounge was coated, but i just kept brushing it like 3-4x a day.. That can turn into thrush like baby's get.. so keep brushing your tounge and it will go away...

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
