Need fill doctor in Oklahoma

Recommended Posts

I am trying to find a fill doctor in Oklahoma. I spoke to an office in Little Rock and they said I would need to come up with a $700 consultation fee. Any ideas would be appreciated. :(

I'm also looking, if I find one, I"ll let you know. I was banded in Mexicali Mexico by Dr. Aceves on May 27. I'm doing well & may go back for the first fill in July. After that, I'd like to find one near.

Thats my doc. Actually he is the assistant surgeon. Fills are 400 dollars if you are self pay. Nice to know there are bandsters so close. Good Luck!

That is alot of money for 2 to 4 cc's. LOL My band was installed in Detroit and until the last month or so flying there for the day was not out of reach fincially. My doctor was $150 per fill. I am a self pay which is why I am interested in how much they charge. I need at least 2 more cc's. I have not lost any weight and I am even heavier than when I had my surgery in Nov. 07 I can eat anything and do not get filled up quickly. I appreciate your reply and I will call this week.

Thanks

I called the doctor in Owasso and they may be able to get me in sometime in August. Better than nothing I guess. I am just glad to find a local. The doctor is $200 and the hospital also charges. I didn't have time to make that call from work. I figured a total of about $400.

Hi Ladies:

I had my first fill with Dr. Kirk yesterday in Owasso. He was wonderful and very good at what he does. He explained everything he was going to do. He charges $200.00 and the hospital charges another $200.00. He informed me that he does lots of Mexico patients. He is the only Dr. I found in Oklahoma that takes Mexico patients that didn't cost a fortune. He also has a great bed side manners and loves to joke.

Hope this helps.

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.
