Bitching and Moaning and Stomping my feet...Little bit of a Rant.

Recommended Posts

Man, that sucks, LovableLynn. I had my first one four weeks after surgery, 2nd two weeks after that, then 3 weeks later for the third, and another 4 weeks to the fourth. I haven't had a single problem or overfill. There's just no reason for your doctor to be so stingy with fills. It's just sadistic, in my view. You are so excited to have the surgery, then BAM! The initial swelling subsides, and you're hungry again. I'm so sorry that you're having to basically do this on your own. Restriction is a wonderful thing. You will get it eventually. Just lay down and throw a fit in your doctor's office and insist that he get with the program and get you the help that you paid for!

Omigosh, Ready! I was so depressed over all my bad news yesterday, but now I'm holding my sides laughing! I loved your post! I am 5'2" tall and have longed to be 5'5" all my adult life. You are a talented comedian and have brought joy to my day. I hope your struggles will become easier, but I also hope you will keep writing. BTW, I used to be like your workmate -- 100 lbs and couldn't gain a pound if it chased me around the room -- and could never fully understand the plight of my friends who just could not seem to lose weight. Now I understand -- boy do I ever understand!

Linda13 is correct. You are a talented comedian, ReadySteady. Perhaps your should take your sarcastic witt to Vegas! "Perils and Joys of a Bandster!" That's a show I would pay big bucks to see!

June 18 :-(

Anyway your doctor could move up your appointment? I know the point you're at, I stuggled through mine for two weeks even though I knew I could just call the office and move the appointment. Now they scheduled me for 4 weeks cause I didn't call in on my own. They didn't know I learned my lesson fast this time. Heck, I'm almost tempted to move this one up if I keep on being hungry. It's not bad but it's no way to be. Give em a call, see what they say. Let em know you're ready to chew the leather off the couch.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
