I am 3 weeks out... the band is 11cc and right now I have a 4cc fill. Should I be loosing faster than I am? I've only lost 10lbs since day of surgery and that was all in the first week post op. I'm still not on full foods either, I start on Monday. I'm eating things like fish, chicken nuggets, mashed potatoes, sandwiches, ect... Sorry, I'm just frustrated!!!

I am about 2.5 weeks out. I don't get my first fill until May 15th. So I got 2 more weeks. But I feel your frustration, I am eating soft foods, which is everything if I chew it to death. I have lost about 8 lbs since surgery. So, You're doing well. I think we all want it off fast, but losing weight really fast isn't healthy. Keep your head up!!!! And take it easy with the full foods!!!!! Congrats!!!!!! You're not ALONE!!!!!

you're a day ahead of me!! i don't get my first fill until june 2nd (he's on vacation the week before). i've been telling myself that as long as i eat what i'm supposed to (which at this point my doc doesn't care too much about calories) and i eat the portions i'm supposed to (3 4oz meals) then it'll come off. don't worry--we'll get there!

HI weight4change, i just read your post i also have the 11cc band. Im currently filled to 10cc. It sounds like your progressing nicely. I did however want to comment on your post saying about eating chicken nuggets and sandwiches at 4 weeks out. Id be so very cautious with that you could really hurt yourself eating a sandwich being banded only a month. Good luck to you!

Hey there. I am sure it will pick up.

I noticed that you said chicken nuggets, sandwiches, mashed potatoes.

Are you exercising alot? The foods you listed have carbs. Carbs are fuel that should be used to burn. If you're not working out I would switch to :

3-4 oz of grilled fish or chicken no breading or anything

instead of mashed potatoes do a 1/4-1/2 cup of steamed veggies

Sandwiches... eat all the innerds without the bread?

These are just suggestions that might help mix up the way you eat. If you're not excersizing try to start walking a few blocks a day even then work up to a mile. Believe me thats enough to shock the system into dumping the calories.

Oops editing to add: You might try a 1/2 can of tuna as well and maybe 2-3 WHOLE GRAIN crackers if you don't add mayo.. if you do make sure it's the lite mayo and u measure it out.

I was going to say the same thing....

Hi, starting Monday I will be able to eat solids as well as stated by my doctor. I can eat 3 meals a day and 2 Snacks. Of course they will be healthy snacks and Low carbs on the foods. I started out at 260 before surgery, I am now 231 lbs. I watch the carbs even on the full liquids. All I have to say is watch the carbs.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
