Hi! I'm in Gainesville! Welcome!

I don't really know how to get the "ticker" either; but I know someone here can help you. I've seen instructions before.

Hi I am from Pasco County, just north of Tampa. Nice to hear from other Floridians. I don't know how to do too much. I just keep trying things, sometimes they work and sometimes they don't. I was banded 12 days ago. Just getting started. I am feeling great. I am still on Full liquids for 10 days. I feel like I could eat, but know I shouldn't. Take care.

Not a silly question at all! I just put mine up. You basically have to go into Quick Links and click on Edit Signature. At the bottom there is an add signature box and a spot to put the ticker code in. In the meantime, I will try to find the tutorial someone made for lapbandtalk and post it for you.

Greetings from the Space Coast. Newly banded by Dr Mark Fusco @ Lifeshape.net, Melbourne FL. Surgery was Monday 4/28, I'm feeling great, incisions are starting to itch already, my first post op is 5/8. I am on liquids until Sunday, and then I go to creamy stuff, with Protein Shakes. I too am about OVER the liquids too. I've had alot of burping, something I hardly ever did. I managed to get my ticker, but OMG, please don't ask me how. Now I can't figure out how to change it as I change. Keep posting and keep up the good work. Gail

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.
