Approval But What If

Recommended Posts

I have been approved and have May 13 as my surgery date. But what if I fail again and do not lose weight or not keep the weight off ?:tongue_smilie: I have been watching how and why I eat. Trying to make good choices and smaller amounts. Down 9 pounds in 6 weeks. I'm getting the WHAT IF fear:confused2:

Well Bella you are not the only one that has the what if's... But u know I will put it to u like this. What if u do loose the weight, and are able to do everything u have ever deamed of doing in life? What if u surpass your own expectation? Now playing the devil's advoicate...:tongue_smilie: what if u do eat to much? What if u don't loose the weight u really want to loose? What if others look at u as a failure? SO WHAT.. all u can do is dust your sholders off and start over and over and over until u get it right and start to see some positive changes. bottom line. Who cares what anyone says or thinks at this point. If you make your mind up that u want to do it for u... then u will.....:frown:

It's very normal to feel that way, but:

:tongue_smilie::welldoneclap::thumbup:

If you do find yourself struggling along at some point down the road after banding -- also normal! -- then have a plan in place NOW on what you will do about it. Write it down somewhere.

"If I start to backslide after banding, I will __________ to get myself back on track".

(Seek counseling? Pick up The Beck Diet Solution and work your way through it? Join a local support group? Talk to your doc? etc)

      I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

      Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
      Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

      Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
