Today is April 21st. My little girl was due on Friday, April 18th, but seems to be enjoying life inside the womb. I was 100% effaced and 3 cm dialated over a week ago, but obviously she is in no rush to be born as I am still carrying very high and haven't felt even 1 contraction.

My first daughter was born 6 weeks prematurely, so being this pregnant is uncharted territorry for me. I am sooooo thankful to have made it to full term this time, but I am ready to go!!!!

If anybody out there knows of any sure-fire ways to bring about labor, let me know (Yes, I have already tried the sex thing...)

:rolleyes2:

Not a mom, don't ask how I know this...

-Lots of walking.

-Sex (orgasm required!)

-Tweaking the nipples for a period of time, releases a hormone that thins out the cervix.

I am happy to report that I am no longer pregnant!

My baby girl, Avery, was finally born on Tuesday, April 22nd - complete with a police escort to the hospital... I guess the sex and hot wings the night before did the trick!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
