I think it really depends on how large-chested you are. My friends can buy them from KMart and get the support they need. I am DD and I cannot do Kmart. The cheap sports bras still have me flopping around like a banshee. I got fitted for proper ones and they're expensive, but they keep me strapped in and supported

I recommed getting a good one, but that's coming from someone who's rather large - inbetween a D & DD right now. I know there is a thread around talking about sports bras & there were a lot of choices in a variety of price ranges to look for.

Good support is what you need, and that doesn't have to come at a high price. A fitting is a great idea.

I get mine from Kmart, its a Hestia brand one and costs $20! I have gone from a 22DD to a 12D. I've gotten the same style from when I was about a 16D, I've just stuck with it because it fits and feels good on. It definitely keeps everything in place when I'm running! I definitely think getting a sizing done is a good idea if you're not sure what size you are now. Maybe try Bras n Things, Myer or David Jones, they'll usually do a sizing for you for free :huh2:

Ya know, i reckon as long as it holds those babies down you can buy one from any department store, especially if you get one of those crop top type ones without the cups.

lol to be honest they may well end up looking like ape boobs any way if you lose a lot of weight (dont mean to offend :-)

Bel *big smiles*

I'm also a DD...the weight is coming off, but the twins are holding their own!! LOL

I currently wear a "champion" that is made for DDs...but my favorite is "ENELL"...I first heard about them on Oprah...and now have two. They are pricey ($60.00)...but well worth the investment to me...the twins don't become "uni-boobs" and it holds them secure when I'm jumping and running...I workout, and it is PAIN-FREE!!!

If your current bra is uncomfortable or you're flopping around too much.

I can't even fill out an A cup even at over 200 lbs. So it's hard for me to find a good bra anywhere, sports or otherwise. Manufacturers assume if you are plus size you also have big breasts. So there are lots of great sports bras out there for overweight women with D cups & up.

I'm stuck with the uniboob look in a sports bra if I don't want my boobs hanging down by my belly button. :)

I have to disagree with this statement I am a DDD I have not been able to find lots of great bras. Period. Sports or otherwise. The only bra I like has stopped making DDD. I am hoping to be down to a DD soon so I can buy a new bra. But because my boos are always the first thing to get biger and the last thing to shrink I think I am stuck for a while. ugg

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
