I had surgery Jan. 16. Two fills for a total of 3cc's. I have no restriction yet. I have lost 56 pounds so far. I want this to work so bad that I stick with the diet. I go in again April 18th. Hopefully I will finally feel some restriction.

I just got my second fill yesterday...I'm up to 4.5cc in a 10cc band. I felt some restriction after the first fill, but it went away. I'm hopeful about this time, but who knows?

Hi I was banded on Jan 3rd. I have had 2 fills so far. I forget the amounts. The last fill, I had good restriction, but now I can eat more. So I am going in on Wednesday for a fill. So far since the surgery I have lost 30 pounds but the past couple of weeks my weight goes up 2 pounds and then back down 2 pounds. So I hope this helps.

I have had my first fill on 3/17 for a total of 6.8 cc's in a 9 cc Realize band. I go for my next fill on Tuesday. I am losing very very very slowly right now, maybe one pound each week. Restriction is diminished right now and I am looking for some extra help in losing a little faster.

My goal is 150 before I go back to Turkey on October 16 and I need to lose 1.9 pounds a week to make it. I am exercising vigorously 5-6 days a week and am feeling pretty good. My clothes are looking different on me, from a tight size 18 to a very loose 18 and occasionally 16.

I am not even close to my sweet spot yet, I hope it comes sooner rather than later :0)

Hi

I was banded on January 23rd. I had 2cc's in a 14cc band at time of surgery. I have had 2 fills since.

The 1st fill was 3 cc's and no restriction.

My 2nd fill was 2cc's and my restriction is good now.

Hopefully I will start to lose at a steady pace. I was getting quite discouraged before this last fill.

I feel like I am back on track!!

I was banded Jan 31. My doctor gives you the first fill after 4 weeks and recommends that you come every 3 weeks in the beginning because he feels the new AP bands are less restrictive. I just had my 4th fill.

First fill - 3cc

2nd fill - 2cc

3rd fill - 1cc

4th fill - 1 cc - total 7cc in 10cc APS band.

I had some restriction at 6cc but I could still eat mostly everything in smaller quantities.

Now at 7cc, I think I have a lot more restriction but I am on my 2day

liquid and 2 day mushy stage after my adjustment. I had some difficulty eating cottage cheese but I think it was because I always eat too fast. I'm down 27 lbs and 22 since surgery in 3 months. I may not be losing as fast as others but I am very happy. I will never go back. I am giving away my clothes as they become too big.

Got my 4th fill yesterday. Down to 238 pounds on the docs scale. Still on full liquids so I don't know if I will get anymore restriction. He's really slowed down with the fills now, trying to sneak up on that elusive "sweet spot". I'm afraid I might be one of the post op heartburn sufferers. I don't think I'm overfilled, I haven't had a problem getting anything down.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
