Hijackers!

Recommended Posts

Yes, we have some forum terrorists on here. You know who you are! Your the person who replys to a thread with a different question or something else on a completely different subject. This is called thread hijacking and must end or George Bush will send Dick after ya!

Example:

Original Post - I have been eating tortillas all week and one feels stuck and i don't know what to do.

1st reply - I have no problem with tortillas but have trouble with Beans. Anyone know how you can cook beans to not make them stick.

The next 100 posts are about how to cook beans and the OP's question gets answered but has to read through 100 posts to get it.:cursing::biggrin::tt1::biggrin::lol::tt1:

I have no idea what you are talking about.

Do you have any idea how to cook cats so the fur doesn't tickle my throat?

If you just cut it off, it should stop itching. I did that to my itchy toe and it was fine.

Speaking of cutting it off, should I cut my hair?

I think if you boil the cat it would cure the itch.

What about parrots? Are they chewy?

I admit to sometimes being a hijacker. But it's the only way I can get to Cuba, dammit!!

Speaking of getting to Cuba, has anyone ever flown with a band? Will the security guard need to rip open my stomach to prove I'm not a terrorist with an intermal bomb? Does the lapband count as one of my personal items I'm allowed to bring on board?

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
