peanut butter

Recommended Posts

Anyone have anything to say about all natural creamy Peanut Butter? The ingredients are just ground peanuts. I put a teaspoon in the micro for a few seconds so its not clumpy and added some to my Protein shake for some extra Protein. (and extra taste, hehe) It is 16 g.fat for 2 tablespoons, and I suppose I am only having 1/4 of that, so 4g.for my whole day.

I am in my mushies stage and pretty much live on ff yogurt, broiled fish and Isopure Protein shakes with ff lactaid milk.

Check out the calories on that stuff, amazingly high in calories.

Have you tried PB2? GREAT stuff, much fewer calories, all the Protein and Fiber, and no fat. ;o) It really tastes good, it's real peanuts with the oil removed.

I don't have a link on this computer but someone should come along with a link.

Like WasA said the PB2 is probably the best thing to add to your shakes.

Natural creamy PB is all I use around my house for anything other than shakes. I love the stuff. It is good to have in small servings but very easy to over do it. You do have to watch because of the calorie count. Also in case you did not know you should first mix all the separated oil in and keep it in the refrigerator to keep the oil from separating again.

Ok thanks for the powder Peanut Butter tip!

I was just reading the yes or no peanut butter post which got 3 pages of replies and it is very interesting how everyone varies in what they can and cannot have!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
