Hey! I'm jumping on the bandwagon. LC completely works for me. I have been LC'ing it for several days now. Here is what I have eaten today:

Breakfast-strawberry whey Protein shake from smoothie Factory (made with Water, 50g Protein, the Protein powder is 0 carb...but I did add peach slices with no juice...not too bad, huh?)

Lunch-1/4 cup chicken salad from Chic-fil-A

Dinner-Baked white fish (eating on this right now)

If I get hungry later, I will drink coffee with Splenda or Chai Tea.

Pre-band, a couple of years back, I lost 100 lbs doing LC but fell off wagon and gained it ALL back. It should be a piece of cake now that I have the band...

I did low carb before surgery and it works great for me. However, since moving to regular foods, I have been on carb overload and I am eating way too many of them! Can I join you guys? I did have oatmeal this morning, but it was whole wheat, so not the worst carb in the world to eat. I just feel better when I'm not full of carbs.

I'll show the chicken that's soooo good, here's a picture of what they look like, you can buy them at Walmart. They have 2 other flavors, a bacon & cheese one and a jalapeno & cheese one (beware, that one is a little hot!!)

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
