I have the same left shoulder pain, hurts more when I breath in. Also I can feel my port easily and when I press on it the shoulder twinges with pain. No doubt it is band related. I am only 4 weeks post op, I am hoping it will go away, but I am going to give my doc a ear full because OTC pain meds don't do anything for it.

I have had severe shoulder pain since my surgery on 4.30.08. I seem to have it all the time though, when I wake up in the morning, if I eat something that my band doesn't like, when I drink Water ect.... I have just come to realize that this is something that I have to deal with for a while. But I am glad that it is not something that is terribly wrong with me, cause I was thinking that is was. I did talk to my doctor and he said that it would eventually go away, but he said that it was cause they work so close the diaphram that that cause the shoulder pain. Please let me know if anyone elses has gone away so that I feel like there may be hope for me.

Mine finally did go away. It took a long time and I remember when food would get stuck it would get worse. I haven't had it for a long time now. At that time, sometimes it came and went and I couldn't figure out why.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
