Where is the first place you lost weight?

Recommended Posts

The very first place I historically lose weight is on husbands. After that it is my face, followed by a general all over loss. With the band, we shall see. Of couser, with the band, gain, the first place I lost weight was on my husband... :)

I was gonna say when I delivered my first child. I lost about 8lbs right off the bat. LOL!!! Then the husband was the next place. LOL!

I noticed it in my ankles. I looked down one day and had skinny ankles. Then my face, then hands, then all over.

I lost it all in my butt, it is now flatter than ever, then my arms and I still haven't noticed too much off my belly, which is where I have lots and lots of fat. Maybe I'll have to get butt implants in addition to a tt. LOL Look out J Lo here I come!!!

I lost Fluid around my ankles and calves right away. My legs and ankles have NEVER swollen like they did before my surgery since - and it's been 22 months! Thank goodness! After that, I've lost most ALL my weight right off my hips, waist and thighs. I still have to wear larger sizes in pants due to not having lost much around my abdomen. I bought a pair of Gloria Vanderbilt jeans the other day, which fit perfectly, btw, but I had to get an 18, which was kind of disappointing:(, but I understand they run small too. Interestingly, a lady told me the legs fit small and my legs fit perfectly! In a way, that was a NSV for me. I have ALWAYS had huge thighs and never been able to wear Levis or some smaller legged jeans, so that was cool! But, I can't believe how much more I've lost from my legs and behind than the rest. It's very strange.

I lost in my face first, but that is usually the case for women. We lose it first where we need to lose the least, the places we lose last are the places we need to lose first..for me it started at my face and has worked it's way down..

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
