Various types of protein powders

Recommended Posts

Dlyrical responds: You are the MAN neveragain What do you find to be the best tasting besides the nectar Proteins? whey vanilla is o.k. anything better

I like the MetRx Metamosyn Protein if you take Protein before you work out. Any of their Proteins aren't too bad. I like the vanilla and chocolate ones better an any other powder. If you don't mind buying shakes, my favorite BY FAR is Muscle Milk. Any of their flavors are fantastic. Honestly, I tried unjury and I don't like it.

Oh, and I have yet to find a protein that doesn't add a smell or taste. I'm sure someone has, though.

Totally, totally I agree with you about the unjury. Didn't care for the chocolate, the chicken Soup left a severe aftertaste, and the unflavored had a smell I couldn't get past!

You are right, too-- I actually found an unflavored whey Protein isolate that has absolutely no odor and mixes instantly into foods at BiProUSA.com - Whey Protein isolates, hydrolyzed whey Proteins, recipes and more . After the Unjury, I felt certain I'd never find an unflavored without an odor and I'm so glad I did.

As you say, every person has different tastes and we all just have to keep trying them 'on' until we find the one that's right for us.

Thanks again for all the info, Neveragain...:)

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
