I have a collar bone

Thanks, everyone. It really feels good to hear these kind words. Often I want to eat all of the fun "kids" Snacks in the pantry, but after seeing pictures and hearing wonderful things, I head to the better choices. This is a tough struggle but I'm willing to continue because I feel so much better about myself. Thanks again!

Hi, You look AWESOME!!!! Keep up the great work. My only hope is that I will have similar results when I get banded on March 27, 2008.

Thanks...you will...if you have made up your mind that you are ready to change your life, then you will do it. I cannot lie...I have had those moments where I don't exercise and I eat things that I certainly shouldn't...we all do it. When that happens, get yourself together, and jump back on-board. Good luck!!!!

Thank you. :) I will keep your recommendations in mind. I think now I am beginning to get nervous, or maybe I am just excited. :)

Hello thirties...I was banded on May 9th, 2007. I am at 10 months post op and doing well. I have struggled in the last month or two with making some bad food choices which I KNOW has impacted my weight loss, but I am absolutely thrilled with what I have lost so far and how I look. I am about 1/2 of the way to where I want to be and I know that this last 1/2 is going to be WAY tougher than the first 1/2 was.

I don't regret getting my band whatsoever & would totally reccommend this surgery to anyone out there who had the right "mind set" to commit to it. Way to go everyone and keep up the good work. To all those who are scheduled for surger...Good Luck and don't do any unnecessary worrying. :w00t: Surgery is, for the most part, a piece of cake. (so to speak) lol

My pics are 1 month before surgery in the first one and the other one is 9 months post op @ 103 lbs. lost. (also with a new and slightly shorter hairstyle)

How exciting!!

You look terrific!

I am new to this site today.

I had the surgery on January 14, 2008.

I feel like I am at a stand still. I have weighed the same since January 27. Did you ever experience that? I am somewhat discouraged!

Hey guys...went to Vegas last week and had "LOTS" of pictures taken. I thought that I would share many different "before" pictures and very up to date pictures. It's quite amazing to me.

Thanks, Sue. I appreciate it. And yes...I sure do feel soooooo much better. The energy that I have is incredible. People have a hard time walking with me now. They can't keep up. I feel like a new person.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Anyone had the TORe procedure? How did it go? How much weight did you loose?

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
