i am 8 months post op and my scars are still red and slightly raised. I don't think this is typical. I just think that I have bad skin. This is a small price to pay though for all the good the band does for me.

It totally depends on what your skin color is. The darker, the better, but the lighter the better.

Plus your complexion helps a bit.

My surgeon made beautiful incisions. I am 8 months post-op and they are fading away. Two are still pink (the ones on the left side) but my port scar is almost invisible.

I had my gall bladder out 7 years ago through the same procedure. I still have scars. They'll never go, so I'm expecting pretty much the same thing this time, but I don't care. 5 small scars on my tum is worth the hassle of the op I think.

My scars are healing really well...but where my port is is sunken in a bit. It really looks strange.
