Hi Sadie! Congratulations on your band date!!! I as well am having my band surgery on March 3rd. I am very happy and a bit nervous. This is a great site though for information. My doctor only has me on a clear liquid diet one day prior. I'm amazed at the different pre-op instructions per surgeon. Good luck to you on your surgery. I'll look forward to sharing the post op discoveries, both good and bad!

CONGRATULATIONS to you too CTman and Texgirly!!! I hope we all do fabulous!!!

Hi Sadie! Just go to TickerFactory.com and click on free weight loss tickers. Follow the steps and once you have your ticker the way you want it you can just copy, use your back button to go back into LBT and paste it into your signature. SAVE before you use your back button though. Once you have it saved you have to enter a PIN number. Sounds to me like you just go in and update the ticker yourself then keep edited your profile. I'm a newbie so maybe that's not the proper way to do things but it worked for me. Good luck! Reply back to this thread if you need assistance. : )

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
