Tricare - Center of Excellence???

Recommended Posts

I got my approval quickly as well, once my PCM referral was submitted. Surgeon's office submitted on Friday and my approval came first thing Tues morning. (And that was with Monday being a federal holiday)

My appt is tomorrow to meet with the doc and schedule my surgery etc. I really can't believe it's happening!

I went to the doctor on January 30, 2008. My doctor put the request in for the lap band and I received word from my doctor that I was approved on Feb.11 they said that they had just turned in the request on the 7th so the approval came fast. My surgery is shceduled for Feb. 21. Tricare works fast.

Hey! Tomorrows the big day! Good luck to ya and let us know how it goes!

I'm approved to see the surgeon! I couldn't wait for the letter I had to call and ask...yeah I'm a big dork.

Congratulations ya big dork!:) Just kidding! Glad you're on the list!

One question though. Why the name KingAir? I assume it has to do with the Beechcraft?

Sgt Bob

I think you are the first person to catch the beachcraft connection to my user id. I was a turboprop mechanic in the Air Force and vowed that if I ever won the lottery I was going to buy my very own turboprop.. Beach King air 1900

Nice little plane. I was a crew chief on KC-135's and C141's in the AF, but I ran Transient Alert at Howard AFB, Panama and we had Army B-200's coming in all the time from Honduras, Roosevelt Roads, El Salvador and all over South America. If I ever had the money to buy a turboprop, it would definitely be a KingAir.

After I get banded I might even be able to fit in the cockpit again!

I was an engine specialist on HH-60 pavehawks and c-130s in the AF. I'd love to get a pilots license. I Just don't fit in a cessna right now. I think I'll add that to my to to list (post poundage) :smile2:.

I'm wondering if the AF will let me reenlist after WLS?

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
