final fill, I hope.

Recommended Posts

I have been tracking my weightloss for the last few weeks really closely. I am at a perfect point if I were are my goal. But I am getting hungery, my head is in the fig at night. So I call Doc Lee and told him I wanted to get in, in the next few days. So today, I am going in to get a fill. How agressive do I go> He is really open to letting me tell him what I think. I have a 10cc ap band. I have 4.5cc in it. I had 1cc in Nov. was my last fill. I want to be at my goal or close to it by the end of may or the first of June. If I can. 38 lbs..... any suggestions?

My doc does .5 cc at a time. That's fairly aggressive after you've gotten restriction. But he also tests it with fluoro to make sure it goes through right.

Good luck on your fill!!! My last one (last week) has been fantastic - it's definitely made me slow down and chew ... or else!

well, I went to the Doc yesterday. He put 1 cc in. SO he said I have roughly 5-6cc in my band. He also told me I may be a little ODC. He thought I was obsessive about my weightloss. This scares me a little. Where to go from here....

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Anyone had the TORe procedure? How did it go? How much weight did you loose?

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
