OOH! A new forum!

I just got totally confused by the forum titles and categories reshuffling themselves between viewing one thread and coming back to the menu, but I like the new arrangement.

Hello to all you Fabulous Forties out there :)

Wow Wndy, and banded family---very cool!

How are you all doing?

I am Kat---(no brainer!), married to Rick. 3 grown kids, 3 grandkids.

I was banded in April of '06.

Live in NW New Mexico.

How are you feeling following your LBL Alynne?

I am looking at a TT soon. I had to put off my planning, and have Thyroid surgery, but now that it is behind me, I am ready to start looking into it again. I hate this flabby skin junk hanging!!!!

There has to be more of us 40 something out here!!!

Kat-I'm doing okay, still in some pain, but drugs help. Went to the Docs today for the last drain to be removed but it stays til Friday. Doc says I'm doing great! Good Luck with your upcoming PS.

Hi all, I'm another 40 something. Banded Dec 3 going for my first fill tomorrow - currently I am starving and could eat a horse and it's jockey raw.

You all seem to have been banded for some time so hope to be able to pick your brains on how you have handled the change.

Danna

HI ALL ! I'M 43 , MARRIED 18 YEARS , HAVE 3 GIRLS 17, 14 & 12 ( YES, THE HORMONES ARE FLYING AT MY HOUSE !:help:) I TEACH JR. HIGH MUSIC AND CHORUS IN ILLINOIS. I'VE HAD 7 FILLS SO FAR , AND THE LAST ONE IN NOV. WAS A DOOZY. IT WAS REALLY OVERFILLED BUT IS FINALLY LOOSENING. I DIDN'T GET AN UNFILL BECAUSE I WAS AT A MAJOR PLATEAU. SINCE THE FILL I'VE LOST 10 MORE LBS AND LIKE I SAID IT LOOSER NOW. I WOULDN'T RECOMMEND AN OVER-FILL TO ANYONE THO'. I ATE VERY LITTLE AND HAD PB'S. I PROBABLY WON'T GET ANOTHER FILL UNTIL FEB. OR MARCH. I JUST HAVE TO SEE HOW THIS GOES.

OMG - I KNOW WHAT YOU MEAN ABOUT FLABBY SKIN. I HAD A TOP ON THAT SHOWED A LITTLE CLEAVAGE. WHEN I BENT OVER TO DO SOMETHING , I LOOKED DOWN AND SAW MY GRANDMA'S 99 YEARS OLD

SAGGY CHEST ! IT WAS PRETTY GROSS. I JUST DON'T KNOW IF I HAVE THE GUTS TO HAVE A Tummy Tuck OR BREAST LIFT. I'VE STILL GOT OVER 50 LBS . TO GO BEFORE CONSIDERING THAT THO '.

HAVE A GREAT DAY EVERYONE !

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
