Need a Band Buddy

Recommended Posts

Finally got date yesterday, FEB. 5th for me. My mind is really starting to wonder now, forgot everything I have learned on here so come back to brush up a little!

Not sure why but I feel braindead now, it's all starting to sink in "it's really going to happen" . . . . . . . . . .:o

You have a Band Buddy in NW FL eagerly awaiting your outcome. You will love Band Land just follow the rules and you'll do well. Two hours after surgery they had me walking the halls at the hospital. Next day released from hospital and flew back home across the country. I was very tired, but would gladly to it over again. So worth it. Hugs, Nancy Bender if lovely Panama City Beach

Joyfulnan@comcast.net if you need to speak to me privately.

Take a heating pad, gas x stripes with and adult liquid tylenol.

Looking for a band buddy

I was banded Jan 15, 2008. I have lost 35 pounds so far which feels fantastic. I am trying to be a good bandster but I keep sabotaging my own efforts. I am in control and losing weight then I want to just eat. It's like I don't want to be successful in my subconscious or something. Looking for someone who has struggled and been successful.

I was banded 1-24-08. I just had another fill today b/c I wasn't losing. OK - I'll be honest - I was taking in a lot of "slider foods" that went down too easily. Joining this site is a re-commitment for me. I have to remember that I'm not cheating anyone other than myself.

Hi. Where were you banded? How much have you lost so far? Tell me about yourself. I am a retired teacher. My husband just had lapband too. We are self pay. What about you?

I need a buddy also! I seem to have lost all motivation. I have stopped exercising completely, I bought new clothes that are too small now, and I just eat things that I know I am not suppose to! I worked so hard to loose the first 50 pounds now I don't know what happened. It's like I just don't care anymore.

Somebody give me a swift kick in the butt to help me get back on track! (I think that's what I need)

I feel the same way. I have lost about 50lbs and I look in the mirror and I ask where the difference I dont see any so I have found myself eating a little worse here lately.

We just have to get it in our heads that we want to continue to lose the weight!!

I think it is easy to get back into old habits once the band has been in place for a while. Sometimes I have to go back to one day at a time and start charting again. That seems to help me get back on track.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
