:eek:OMG it sounds like me. I called my Dr. and confused he said that the first 2 weeks is so important to let the Band settle in its spot in your tummy and that you don't want to scratch the pouch this early on that was enought for me to get me back on track. when I went to my post opt appointment he said all was fine , he said that they don't want you to eat because he don't trust that this early we will know when to stop so that's why most Doctor put u on liquids for long period of time. so as long as u stay in the 1/2 cup range you should be fine. they know we will mess up at first it a process that we must learn.....

The best advice I got to get me thru was to eat potato Soup. I made some home-made and blended up all the chunks and it was great and helped me get thru those last few days of fluids. You should try it!

Sheila.... I have been thinking the same thing!!!!!

Let's face it, all the weight we've lost now is due to liquid starvation!!!!!! So... when we start eating its hard to imagine that we WOULD lose any??????

Any one got advice for us on the matter????

I lost 10 lbs the first week on liquids. Then started mushies on day 7, and I gained 2 lbs. I cut back and lost it again, but the scales haven't moved past that 10 lbs. When I went to fitday.com and started counting my calories for all I really ate, I saw that I was eating more than 1200 calories. Duh.....it is easy to eat more calories than you think, even tho it isn't near the calories consumed pre-band. I still gotta watch my intake! And get back to exercising.

How long did everyone wait to start at least walking for excerise?I really haven't eaten anything I am not suppose to,but see how it could be very easier to do.I would say forgive yourself and move on and don't look back. We are not all overweight b/c we want to be ,we have to take control back and only eat what we are suppose to be during each stage of this process. Good Luck all

My dr said to not pay attention to the gains and losses yet. make sure you are getting enough Protein to heal your body. When you get your fills then you should be concerend about losing.

I did the SAME thing and have been beating myself up. I did not gain any weight back But I can ASSURE you I WILL Not be munching on food! It is hard to stop once you get started. I have lost enough that I don't feel full after a sip of liquids. I went to GNC yesterday and got some Isopure Protein Powder that has 50g of Protein. This is seeming to help me .....

Through this Holiday season I have found some mushie food for me to munch on. But the problem with that is just serving myself a 1/2 a cup. My eyes are bigger than my stomach!

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
