I'm scheduled for 1/27

I had my sleeve on 1/17. Lots of gas but if I get up and walk I seem to feel more relief and I’ve been trying to drink 4 ounces of water per hour so that I can head home from hospital.

Hello All! I’m new to the group and my surgery is scheduled for January 25th, 2023.

Congrats!! How’s pre op going?

I just got home today from my 1/17 sleeve surgery. How’s your preOp diet going?

I had my two week post op appt today and can start puréed /soft foods.. I tried an egg I could only eat a little.. anyone else in puréed with things they enjoy? I can drink 3 protein shakes and water down but the food is giving me a little anxiety

Hi guys, is anyone having the gastric sleeve in Jan 2023?

Hi. My surgery was on Jan 12, if anyone wants to trade stories.

Hey
having anxiety
Surgery date 2_21/23
I hear a lot of people talking about the two week liquid diet, and my doctor did not
They said I only need to be on liquids the day before. Has anyone heard of this?

Yes, while a lot of people do have a pre-op diet, some don't. Some surgeons just don't require it, while others base off your liver function tests (where there is very likely a fatty liver), ohters just require for all their patients regardless.

You can chat to your surgeon see which camp they are in. If you are not significantly overweight it may be that your liver function tests were okay.

Hi there! I had mine on 1/17 also. how r u doing?? I feel great! Tolerating fluids well…I think? No burps or gas pains - which is worrying me a bit. Most seem to struggle with fluid intake 1 week post op - I’m fine. Worried there’s a leak or something. any thoughts?
