Anesthesia, pain meds, just about anything related to surgery can cause headaches. Stress of surgery, stress of post surgery, stress of any sort can cause headaches. Just straight not eating

  • Some people do experience headaches, possibly due to dehdration I assume and various other reasons.

  • Sure, it's possible. Your body's just been through major trauma and had anesthesia and you're probably not drinking enough, so yeah.

In my case I always get a headache after vomiting. I put it down to dehydration

Yes, I had headache and nausea for several days after surgery. You should be feeling better soon.

Same here! Major headache and nausea after surgery. I assumed the headache came from lack of caffeine in my body. It will go away eventually, give it a few more days. Good Luck! ♥

Hi guys,

Lack of calories, lack of sugar, those were my triggers, but your body gets used to it and the headaches go away.

I had a bad nonstop headache for first few days. Finally realized it was probably caffeine withdrawal. My surgery was moved up due to a last minute schedule opening and I didn’t get to diet prep like I should have.
