Only 9 pounds almost 4 weeks post op

Recommended Posts

Had a weight loss stall for 3 weeks at 3 weeks post op. Prior to stall in first 2 weeks I lost 25lbs and to date I’ve only lost 35lbs total. Getting worried. After the stall only lost a total of 4lbs and this week only 1lb , I would hate to have gone threw all this not to successfully loose weight!
FRUSTRATED

. I know my weight loss will be less dramatic than someone who had a higher starting BMI, but I wonder if I’m on track.

You are perfectly on track. Don't rush the process. The surgery is a tool but not an instant fix. And there will be a stall in Week 3 or 4, everybody gets it, so don't think you're getting too many calories or have done something wrong. Trust the process and take it slowly.

Everybody and I mean EVERYBODY hits the infamous Week 3 (sometimes Week 4) Stall and yes it can last several weeks but it's perfectly normal. While frustrating, it's to be expected. Just keep doing what you're supposed to be doing, getting in the Protein and the Water, and the weight loss will come. I promise.

Here it is almost 3 months for me and it seems like I’ve hit a stall again! I barely eat and having issues with hydration. This is becoming really frustrating just at about 40lbs. Since surgery on the 8th of Nov. but now no weight loss for a week. My level of frustration is UNEXPLAINABLE

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
