Any December 2021 bypass people?

Recommended Posts

Hey there,

I had my surgery on 12/21/21. I am plugging along 1st week post. A lot of pain on my left upper and lower abdomen. My doctor said that is where the majority of the manipulation was. Each day is better. Already down 10 pounds. Anyone else having pain in their right side post op?

So I had a RNY revision on 12/13.
The first time I had surgery, I lost zero lbs in the first week and then it started falling off.
This time I lost 10 lbs preop diet, 5 lbs in the first week. It has now been almost 2 weeks since I have lost anything. I am using a food tracking ap and I am between 800-900 calories a day. Trying to push it up to 1000 - 1200 if I can. I feel better, my mom and boyfriend say my face looks thinner, but no scale movement. Frustrating.

Yes I do and it goes into my back. My surgeon said that because that is where they remove the stomach that he sutures the abdomen wall and muscle so that it doesn’t end up herniated later in at some point. I was the Dec 22nd it’s better every day except for sneezing or coughing. I’ll be glad when it’s better.

I had my gastric bypass surgery on December 6th. Things are going pretty well so far. Hope you all are doing well too!

My bypass was 12/21/21. I am on my “soft food phase” and relearning how to listen to my body!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
