Did you hair come back?

Recommended Posts

Losing my hair like crazy. Getting all my nutrients and Protein in great. Dietician said it’s just due to weight loss and it will come back once I’m steady not losing anymore. I’m 6 months out. Anyone lose a lot and then it come back later?

yes - it almost always grows back. I lost hair from months 5-8. It all came back.

Surgery August 2019 - I just stopped losing my hair and seeing lots of new growth (downside, weightloss also slowing down) - I think I'd rather be skinny and bald! :)

typically occurs within the first three to six months after surgery or significant weight loss. As the body adjusts to the changes, the Hair loss will decrease and then stop. hair should grow back as normal as long as there are no nutrient deficiencies and you are consuming adequate Protein.

I lost lots (lots! we are talking CARPETS of hair in on my bathroom floor) from months 3-6-ish. Started seeing all the little itty biitty chicken hairs sticking up around 8-9 months, i think...I am now 2.5 years out and and all those little chicken hairs are pretty much the same length as the rest of my hair, which is about shoulder length now.

I already had pretty thin hair pre-op, so losing the hair was pretty noticeable. Now, i want to say its actually thicker looking than it was pre-op, but that may just be wishful thinking, lol. But its much, much better my Hair loss phase for sure.

Oh my!

I lost more than half my hair which wasn’t thick pre Op. Surgery was July 2020. Hair started falling out in hand fulls in December. The Hair loss has all but stopped since the first part of April.

I have hair growing back because I have 1-3 inch baby hairs all over the top of my head and it sticks straight up! 😂 I should buy stock in hairspray, the only way to tame the crazy going on.

after speaking with my nutritionist, she said my labs indicated I was low on Iron, so I added a separate iron pill to my Vitamin and supplement daily routine. I have also added more Biotin as well as daily collagen to my routine. Added Viviscal to my routine as well.

So far, so good!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
