I notice if I drink more than three swallows of my Protein Shake I get a discomfort as it goes down. It a sensation that feels like gas build up and trying to get through is the best way to describe it. Has anyone else had this feeling and or is it normal and passes with continued healing.

Thank you

Is it like a tightness across your chest? That if you thump your chest it may pass & let whatever is stuck get through? If it is this is your restriction. It’s likely kicked in because you’re eating or sipping too quickly or you’ve consumed enough. I still have to leave a couple of minutes between bites of food or sips of liquids or I’ll feel my restriction. And I can only now have two swallows of a liquid at a time.

Maybe right - it happens when I have two or three Soup spoonful's then I wait 20 minutes. Maybe I need to spread it out further. Thanks for your response:)

Completely normal and it will get easier. Try taking smaller sips and spacing it out more.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
