My surgery is feeling very real now, having just booked a taxi to get myself to the hospital on Sunday morning (April 25th). The hospital is a 1hr drive away which isn't great (largely because of the

I just got my surgery date and mine is the 28th too.

Just got my surgery date. Mine will be on the 28th and I only have to do one week of preop liquid diet. Nervous but excited to be joining the Losers Bench.

Hi everyone! I am also April 13th! Day two of the full liquid diet! I chose gastric bypass for my journey because of my Gerd! Full liquid diet requirements are quite strict and is really terrible in my opinion. Just getting by and convincing myself it could be worse! Let me know how you are all doing where you are at in your process! Headed to the pre op appointment with the Doc now. Have a wonderful day! I am Deena ,51 Ohio!

I also have gerd but my surgeon said the sleeve would be better for me, I wander why the difference?

Surgery scheduled next week, April 19th! Ready...so ready! ?

So my surgery was the 12th. It went well but it took longer than expected as my lapband didn't want to come out. I had to stay overnight at the hospital. My surgery didn't start till almost 4pm. I have 3 weeks of liquids ahead of me. Looking forward to new adventures!

I'm April 13th too! I don't know if I'm relieved or concerned that I don't have to do a pre-op diet. My surgeon doesn't require one! Hmmm....

The purpose of the liquid diet is to shrink the liver so they can get in there to do what they have to do. If I were in your place, I think I would do it for the week before, just to make sure. My surgeon only requires 1 week of protein drinks but at least it's only week. GL
