April surgeries
Got my sleeve 4/27, so today was my first full day at home. Not worrying about calories just yet, just trying to get as close to 60 oz fluid and 60g protein. Much harder than I imagined... took me until 5pm to finish 14 oz of unjury chicken soup flavor protein powder (21g) mixed with water and bone broth (9g). Now trying to get a protein shake down before I'm too tired... and fitting in water in between. I hear it gets easier with each passing day!

Surgery yesterday- my experience
I had a sleeve done yesterday, late morning, and I am about 24 hrs out. My doc put me on gabapentin the day prior, and I had some dilautid in recovery. SO much LESS pain than I anticipated. I was about to drink water and broth all afternoon and night with minimal discomfort. Walked twice up and down the halls... today am feeling well enough to get out of bed alone use the bathroom and walk without assistance. Had a tiny (1/2) dose of some narcotic overnight, more as a precaution, otherwise have been comfortable with Tylenol and torodol. Good luck to all the upcoming surgeries!

Am I dreaming?
I am about 20 hours post op, still in hospital. Having relatively easy time as well. Only one half dose of narcotic last night but otherwise just having liquid Tylenol. I am not sleeping much, partially because my heart rate is weirdly low (45-55) and the alarm keeps going off so I move around to keep it above 50.

Liver shrink Diet
Day 3 was so hard for me, but by day 5 there really is a breakthrough. Amazing that you lost 15% pre op... I lost nothing until the liver shrink started. My surgery is Tuesday... Good luck to you! You've already come so far - you totally got this.

April surgeries
That's pretty much what I keep telling myself too. I'm ready to get it over with so I can stop the second guessing and focus on making other positive, permanent changes.

April surgeries
Has anyone done so well on the pre op diet that you start to question whether the surgery is necessary? How are you working thru that?

April surgeries
I'm April 27. On a 2 shake, 1 small meal preop diet for 2 weeks. Liquids only day prior. -8lbs so far and the hunger became pretty tolerable by day 5 or 6. I'm just excited at this point and frantically wrapping up work in advance of tuesday!

Liver shrink Diet
I'm on day 8 of what will be 17 day pre op liver shrink diet. LSG 4/27. Protein shakes, raw veggies and 1 low fat low carb meal. Day 3 was my low point, starting to get a little easier! You got this.

God the hunger!
I feel you big time! I am struggling so much more than I thought with the preop diet (2 shakes and one small meal, no carb no fat no oil). I got ahead of myself and started early and now I'm at day 5 and I'm super cranky, hungry, weak and frankly, a little sad. Which is not like me at all. I'm 13 days from VSG. Hoping this feeling passes.

4/27 sleeve. Can't wait. Trying to shop and plan for pre-op and post op diet now with only 4 days to prep.

11 days preOp diet is Hell! Who else is days away?
My pre op diet starts Saturday (3 days away) and is definitely less restrictive - 2 protein shakes a day and unlimited raw veggies. One small meal of 4oz lean meat and cooked veggies. One small healthy snack (cottage cheese, piece of fruit). Then liquids only for the day prior. For those that finished pre op in March... how'd you finish up? Made it?

Any April 2021 surgeries?!
Just had my pre op. Surgery scheduled for 4/27! Originally planned for mid may... so I am feeling a little unprepared. Have protein powders arriving today for taste tests so I'm not solely drinking the Fairlife. This is happening!
